Dusty pinks

Heading out in the unusually warm night in New York last week, I introduced the summer colours in my outfit. Found the most amazing dust pink skinny American Eagle jeans (no surprise there) the other week and teamed it with a see through white shirt from Necessary Clothing in Soho, NYC. Underneath I wore a simple tank from Zara and my feet were comfortable in my usual nude Louboutin Highness.
The bag of choice was Vince Camuto in dust pink and pink gold. My favourite watch which I mostly wear during summer came to good use. I'm ready for summer (and not these freezing cold temperatures we are currently experiencing in the UK!!!)

On the go. Not posing. At all.

As it says.

Love the colour.

Tatiana hair extensions Launch night

The other evening, back in London town, my friend invited me to a relaunch of a hair salon that focuses solely on hair extensions. Now, anyone that knows me knows I am the last person in need of extensions, I am more likely in need of a hair cut if anything. Anyhow, off we went. We arrived at Holland Street, a beautiful little cobbled street hidden away right behind Kensington High Street. A red carpet greeted us with an array of photographers waiting to snap away.

Beautiful entrance into the salon

As we walked in there was a full bar offering everything from Jack Daniel's to Champagne to magnum bottles of VIP rose' wine. The night was looking promising!

Stunning guest Tanya with the aptly names bottle of VIP rose' wine

On sight was also two girls that offered sparkly glitter tattoos which looked absolutely stunning on the women that had them done, I instantly regretted my fully covered up outfit!
We were handed a glass of champagne each and headed inwards. Manicures were offered but as I never have the patience to sit down and have them done in a normal situation I declined (although my friend insisted I did have them done, want to tell me something..?)

The temporary nailbar

Amazing feature wall of Marilyn in the salon

The music was banging and in the corner was a hidden away DJ playing the latest from Rhianna amongst others. A very pretty and pregnant Stacey Solomon was mingling with the likes of Desperate Scouse Wives and the crowd was eclectic and beautiful.

A very pretty and glowing Yoanna fresh home from holidays in Grenada

The highlight of the evening was the candy bar. Along the mirrored wall was pick and mix sweets including fizzy bottles, marshmallows and cola bottles (all very low calorie, naturally) and bags that you could help yourself with and take away. What a cute and brilliant idea!

The candy bar. I want this in my house.

We soon met the mastermind behind it all, Tatiana, a beautiful Russian woman who's contributions to the advancement of hair extensions in the UK includes being the first to break with the dated practise of using damaging glue to attach the extension hair and the first, given her local knowledge, to be able to source extension hair directly from her native Russia.
She only works with hair of the highest quality and to the most competitive prices due to the process she is using and is the only salon in London that can boast that.
The micro ring technique she is using is generally considered to be the smallest and most detectable Hair Extension technique available, which combines soft or fine strands of natural hair with extension hair. As there is no glue, sewing or birds involved there is no damage to your own hair. Micro ring extensions last for about 3-4 months before needing to be removed, reinstalled or tightened.

The stunning Tatiana.

Tatiana never uses Chinese hair, which is the cheapest and most common hair type on the market, she uses only the finest quality Russian, European and Remy virgin hair. These are types of human hair, which retain cuticles and are hand processed to ensure all the cuticles are facing the same direction from root to end. This ensures that the hair does not tangle or matt.

The hair is virgin- which means it has never been colours, permed, tinted or chemically treated in a any way. The extension hair can be perfectly matched to your own hair with respect to colour, curl and texture. It can be coloured, highlighted, permed, blow-dried, flat ironed straight and curled to create any look you want whilst still looking exactly like your own natural hair.

In the words of Tatiana; "Create your hair. It's your most powerful accessory."
What are you waiting for?

Love Kenneth Cole

Despite looking like a queen bitch below as I was heading out for dinner at The Hurricane a few days ago, I was actually really happy.
I found the most gorgeous dress earlier in Kenneth Cole whilst I was bridesmaids-dress-hunting with my soon to be married colleague Dan. We first spotted it in a different colour (also comes in a less flattering red and purple) in the window of KC at Lexington Avenue and decided to put two on hold, one for me and one for his sister.
As we later went online though we saw this horrid picture of it underneath, put on a much too pale model who didn't fill the dress in any way shape or form. Our spirits sank. Nevertheless the following day we made our way down to Grand Central and I tried it on; it fit like a glove.
Dan bought it for his sister and I think spent the rest of the afternoon trying to convince her that this was the dress she had always dreamt of.
I on the other hand needed no convincing. It is really fitted but as you can see on one side there is extra material to create a beautiful flow along the top half of the dress and the sleeve.
I matched it with my Highness Louboutins in nude and my dust pink Vince Camuto clutch.
This picture still does not make it justice but I hope I have convinced you to pop in to Kenneth Cole should you have your way past ;)

Bitch face might be due to hunger

Don't think too many people bought this online after seeing this picture.

Can't believe I hesitated when I bought these- now I wear them all the time

Love a bit of Vince
