In my continuous search for miracle creams that will keep me forever young I picked up the new Roc Retinol Brilliance at Heathrow during my most recent trip to New York.
Roc Retinol is known for it's anti-ageing ingredient; pure Vitamin A, as they were the first to develop the methods needed to purify and stabilise retinol (and have since perfected their fight against ageing for 50 years).
 |
| Personally I prefer her cheekbones. |
I find that a lot of women think that they are too young to start using anti-ageing creams and in certain cases yes, it can actually damage young skin, but what most don't realise is that one needs to start in the late 20's and early 30's to be able to successfully combat fine lines before they become apparent and in this way your skin remains healthy and looking younger for longer.
We all should know by now that the body's cell renewal slows down over time, slowing the production of essential proteins such as collagen and elastin which results in the signs of ageing such as deep wrinkles, fine lines and skin discolouration.
 |
| Like we don't have enough to worry about already! |
Roc Retinol Brilliance tackles this by harnessing the power of bio electricity. The product works to generate a flow of energy that gently travels through the surface layers of the skin to instantly stimulate the skin's natural renewal process.
The two-step programme combines E-Pulse micro-current technology found in the E-Pulse concentrate with uniquely formed Activating Moisturisers infused with anti-ageing properties, THPE (a new firming ingredient from France), bugrane and satin pearls.
It also contains symcalmin, a skin soothing agent which is necessary after literally electrocuting your skin.
 |
| The day moisturiser comes in a 'handy' tray, sure that adds on about a fiver. |
When the two formula's are combined, the power of E-Pulse technology is enhanced by the activating moisturiser, which helps stimulate your skins natural process to produce collagen and smooth out lines.
The day rejuvenating moisturiser, as stated above, consists of a 2 step process; the first is the activating serum with E-PULSE technology, it looks a bit weird as it is of a dark grey mud consistence but as you smooth it on to your skin it works exactly like a primer, it smoothes your skin like you have just had a micro dermabration done.
 |
The activating serum and it's grey consistence. This is not
my hand by the way, hand way too chubby and chipped nail varnish?!
And that wall paper. Really? |
After this, you need to immediately follow with the beautifying cream which smells really nice and feels more like a face cream, it's light and non-greasy.
When I get a day cream I always like to us the same night cream, I guess more of a fix idea than anything else.
The Roc Brilliance Night re-charging moisturiser and activating serum works in the exact same way as the day moisturiser and feels not much different on the skin. I wake up in the morning and my skin still feels smooth and refreshed from the night before.
 |
| The night serum. Told you, looks the same. |
I have had so many compliments on my skin since I started using Roc Brilliance day & night cream. It promises instantly smoother and more even looking skin with improving results from 1 through to 4 weeks. I have only used it a week and I already see great results.
 |
| My ideal skin goal. Minus the chubby cheeks. |
I highly recommend it.
